Disabling of LEDs
Posted by ladiaz on 07/28/2006 05:14 PM

Currently, the keypad option to disable LEDs after 60 seconds of no activity disables ALL LEDs including the Armed/Ready LEDs. It would be nice to be able to glance at the keypad and know that the system is armed or ready to be armed without having to walk across the room to tell. Is there a way on enabling only these two LEDs to remain on at whatever brightness level the keypad has been set to? I would think this would be a more requested feature seeing that most security keypads can turn off the keypad LEDs but still leave the status LEDs on.

I'll second this request.

I agree, why can't we have this feature? Or perhaps a way to control the brightness via a rule as well?

Third this request as a top priority. I'd like to see status while disable button LED, or at least control LEDs via a rule. I need this for the keypad in my bedroom.

Try un-checking "LED OFF after 60-seconds" and then adjust your "Back Light" to a lower level for example 2. Whenever there isn't activitiy on the keypad the LED will dim down to the Back Light level but when any key is pressed the LEDs will go full Bright.
