Anyone has been successful in making a connection ?.. I can't seem to get it to connect over the network.. I have entered the ip address and port address of 2601 that matches ELKRP.. I did get it to the sync section but nothing after..
Anyone also notice in the documentation it says ...ELK TS07 Touchscreen Edition ? .. ummm.. what is that and when do we see it ?
thanks

Try changing the Port from 2601 to 2101. Also please remember the software requires product license key for full functionality. Product license key may be purchased from your Authorized ELK Reseller. Software runs in DEMO mode until product license key is entered into ElkRM.

Same thing here. I can't get it to connect no matter what port I use.

In ElkRP, go into your XEP settup screen where you assign the IP address and port number. Verify that port "2101" is enabled. This will be on the "TCP/IP Settings" tab. You will see a checkbox labeled "Enable Non-Secure Port". Make sure this is checked and the port number is set to 2101.

I have a connection and like what I see.
If you use a user name and password for the M1XEP you will have to remove them in order for the ELKRM software to connect.

Thanks cwhitworth/Nadeau2000 .. worked..
It is nice..So.. what is the value of ELKRM over the previous virtual screen we had .. ? apart from the ability of using it on a hand held device ?

Being that ElkRM is a program and all of the settings are stored locally, you can see that it is a lot faster loading. The software will run on our future touchscreen, PC's, and some PDA's. This keeps the user from having to learn many different softwares that have the sole purpose in life of doing the same thing. Being that this program resides on a PC, we have a bit more storage then the Ethernet module. This gives us the ability to make the graphics better and as well allow you to change the graphics. ElkRM also has the ability to look at the event log, change/view "Custom Setting" values, and provide quick links to other programs/web pages (Consult manual). ElkRM is not designed to eliminate the Java web page in the M1XEP. If you are out of town and want to access your home from a PC that does not have ElkRM, you still have the Java web page! We have all kinds of great ideas for the ElkRM software in the future, make sure you tell us yours!

works great on my ipaq h2210, with socket sd lan card. I was going to buy a new pda with 480*640 screen but then I remembered I had bought nyditot way back and set the resolution. I installed compact .net framework on sd card. Elkrm will only install in main memory, could we have an option to install on sd card so if you let battery run down it will be ok.
I'm having problem setting up links on the ipaq, will only let me add folders under links, any suggestions?

PS. I didn't have to remove the user name and password

You can try to copy the ElkRM folder on to your compact flash drive. I have done this in the past on touch screens. It should run fine... Let us all know what you find! Just remember that it will still require you to reinstall the .NET compact framework vs. 2.0 if it gets erased as well...
You should be able to create a shortcut to a web page on your PC to a web page and copy it into your Links folder on to your PDA using Activesync.
