Keypad Backlight control
Posted by bionicbean on 10/06/2011 07:26 AM

Hi All, First post on here, so here it goes. I have several keypads, some near exit doors, bedrooms and hallways. The keypads near exit doors are visible though the windows. Here is my problem. I can turn the back light off after 60 seconds on no button pressing. But then while the house is occupied I am unable to read the display messaged due to no display and keypad lights off. What I need is the turn on the back light when the system is disarmed or when A PIR is triggered in the house, possibly by a rule. Is there any way to control the keypads back lights from rules, global settings or any other way ? Cheers Dave'O

It is not possible to control the Backlight Level of the keypad from rules. You can press any key for example the "*" and have the keypad display for 60-seconds.
