M1RB Output #10
Posted by cadamo on 05/25/2011 08:59 PM

Hello to all!
I have a M1RB connected to an elk-m1Gold directly.
Every time that I press the up or down arrows in a keypad to scroll through the zones that are not ready, output 10 on the M1RB turn on for a couple of seconds.
Is this behavior by design, or can it be turned of? I don't have any rules written and therefore do not know why this is happening.

Thank you in advanced,
Cristian.-

Under Globals G29-G42 you have Two-Way Listen-in is enabled. When Two-Way Listen is enabled Output 10 is used to activate the talk/listen relay on the ELK-M1TWA. If you're not using Two-Way Listen-in or the ELK-M1TWA you can uncheck the "2-Way Listen-in" box under Globals. Otherwise Output 10 will be controlled by the M1's operating system and should not be used in Rules.

Brad,

Thank you for the reply.
I have a M1TWI, and that is why I checked the Two-Way interface. I haven't had the chance to install the speakers yet (I plan to do that shortly), so I did not test that functionality, but since I do not have a M1TWA, should I leave the "Two Way Listen Interface" in G29-42 checked or not?

Thank you,

Cristian.-

If you have the M1TWI it is OK to leave "Enable Two-Way Listen In" checked just remember Outputs 7-10 are reserved and should not be used in rules.
