HAI Omnistat not working properly
Posted by stephena on 04/15/2011 08:11 PM

Hi I have installed a M1 system with a HAI Omnistat2 thermostat. Both configured to display temperature in degrees celcius. However I am having problems with rules that have thermostat conditions that seem to be related to the fact that termperature based rules are processed in fahrenheit. First of all I take a reading from a zone temperature sensor and store it in a counter. For example this might be a vaule of 20 if the sensor is reading 20 degrees celcius. I then want to compare that value to the termostat set point. The rule looks like this.
WHENERVER EVERY 60 SECONDS
AND THERMOSTAT (Tstat 1) HEATING DESIRED TEMP IS GREATER THAN TempSensor(Counter 4)
THEN TURN OUTPUT 9 ON

This always results in the condition being evaluated as true. As it appears that the temperature set point from the thermostat is being converted into a fahrenheit value of say 67 degrees. So 67 will always be greater than 20. I can't find a way to convert the thermostat value to celcius or the zone temperature value to fahrenheit. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the M1 and the way it evaluates temperature rules. Or if the value from teh thermostat is being sent as fahrenheit instead of celcius. I was wondering if anyone has come accross this issue before?
