Discussion Boards at the new Site?
Posted by dutchyn on 10/14/2010 09:58 AM

I didn't know which forum to post this in; duplicating it in all three seems wasteful and unfocused. So I arbitrarily picked this one. Elk is transitioning to a new web presence, and logic dictates that the old site will disappear, including this discussion forum and each of the others. The leads me to two questions:
  1. Will this content remain available somewhere?
  2. Does Elk plan to host an equivalent discussion facility (wiki?) at the new site?

You are correct eventually this site will be turned off. With the availability of other Industry and Do It Your Self News Groups (Forums) ELK does not see the need to host our own at this time. Thank you, Brad Weeks Technical Support

Where is the new site and what is the best forum to use for future inquiries? Thank you.

Someone needs to archive and mirror the history of these forums. The information that can be searched here is to valuable to use. The value of elk's product to me has been enhanced probably 2x simply by what I've learned searching here. I love Elk's products a lot and want to be sure people in the future find similar enjoyment by having a good base of knowledge to go to. Honestly I urge Elk to reconsider keeping a forum for users. Brad has made such a difference here that surely his replies have gained Elk thousands in additional sales. Heck, I've bought over $1000 in addons for my system because of his continued good advice keeping me an Elk fan. How can Elk not see the value of this?
