ElkRP2: bugs, quirks, etc.
Posted by sh0rn on 02/28/2010 10:30 AM

New to ElkRP2: expected to find here a forum for issues related to only RP2, but didn't. Anyway, I've run into several: it has crashed on occasion when entering numbers into cells for example, entry or exit delay, where the number entered (erroneously) is greater than allowed. Also, I was filling out the cut-off timers folder entries. I can change the timer values, but there appears to be no way of entering or changing the NAMES of the timers - those cells or all blue'd out. Some have names in them - numbers 8 thru 12. But that alarm, fire etc. either are unlabeled or have junk in them. I used the paper install doc to determine which timer was which. Is that normal, or should these cells be hard coded with names or better yet user editable? (ElkRP2, version 2.0.4.)

Every once in a blue moon, it seems that my RULES under the AUTOMATION drop down menu disappears when you EDIT THE RULES. It seems that under the RULE BOX, it keeps scrolling down and you have to hold the scroll bar to the top to stay there. Closing the RP2 and restarting it seems to solve it occasionally, but it gets annoying when you are doing long step by step RULES and this starts scrolling down for no reason.

Same scrolling problem in rules here.....frustrating while editing and testing rules. Seems to frequently happen when I am modifying then statements for counter timers.

Version 2.0.6 will be released in a day or two. Look for it on this site. It corrects the Rules scrolling problem. It also corrects the original poster's complaints of corrupt cutoff timer names and data entry problems.
